Exhibition in Linz Highlights the Darker History of Austrian City
Linz is the third largest city of Austria and has emerged as a modern urban centre along the Danube river.
Next year, the Austrian town of Linz will become European Cultural Capital. Adolf Hitler, who went to school there, wanted this small Upper Austrian town to become his own personal Capital of Culture during the Nazi era. Now the organizers of Linz 2009 have created an exhibit that brings back some of the historical facts that many would prefer to forget.
