The Malente Symposium is a bi-annual event organised by the Dräger Foundation in the north German city of Lübeck. The Symposium examines in detail significant scientific issues. This year’s gathering was called ‘More than Water - Oceans and Global Responsibility’.  During the two day meeting experts from all over the world considered the problems we face because of climate change and its effect on the oceans.
