Wind Farms Could Increase China’s Green Energy Production

China's growing wind power market has been encouraged by the domestic production of wind turbines.

China has now become one of the world’s major polluters because a majority of all its electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels. Yet, along China's vast land mass and long coastline there is a rich resource of wind energy with great development potential. Now China is looking at wind power as an alternative energy source to rebalance its coal consumption and combat global warming. Living Planet visits the wind farms on the windswept plains of Xinjiang.
