Cologne festival casts spotlight on movie soundtracks
There’s a lot behind the sound in audio visual productions- be they films, television shows, or something on the internet. Composers, sound directors, editors all play a critical role in what you think you are „watching“, while not necessarily noticing how much you are hearing.
These artists hold annual conferences called SoundTrack in Cologne, Germany in order to network, inspire and challenge each other and come up with new ways to get more appreciation for the works they create. Jodi Breisler went to this year’s event to give them a listen.
