First Exhibition of Afghan Women Artists Opens in Berlin
During 25 years of war, Afghanistan’s cultural diversity crumbled. But now, a cultural self-confidence is slowly awakening there.
One impression of this cultural rebirth can be seen in the exhibition "Make Art not War", presenting works by young Afghan female painters.
These young women explain why art is important to them, and share their feelings about life, Islam and the Taliban.
