Palestinian Teens Living The Beach Holiday Dream
When death, violence and scarce food rations are a part of your everyday life, a two week beach holiday –- where you can escape it all -- would be a dream.
But that dream has become a reality for 250 thousand children from the Palestinian territories -- who are currently taking a 2 week break at a United Nation’s summer camp. Very few Palestinian teenagers have ever had the chance to go on holiday, despite the fact that they live in a region very close to the beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
COOL meets some of the girls, who are learning to swim for the very first time.
